“It was good you came here. Your father, and grandfather, get into a terrible lot of… conflict. You are safer here with your cousin and I.” Her voice seemed to perk back up as she talked up Ahura. It was about then that the shuffle of a desk drawer was heard and a red tendril of hair produced a snack-sized box of confiscated Oreos. The children were always trying to distract themselves with pocketed food and toys in class. Her hair offered the box to Luna.

“Is Franklin planning another adventure?” The children were always planning things and disappearing into trouble if they weren’t immediately underfoot.

Luna beamed and took the box, reaching in and pulling out an Oreo. “Where is Ahura? I haven’t seen him yet. I miss playing with him sometimes.”

She took a bite of the cookie. “I’m not sure. He mostly talked about things I didn’t really understand…”
